Judo is more than just an olympic sport. Our Founder Jigaro Kano sought to use Judo as a sport to teach the values of Judo. The Governance structure of the sport of Judo seeks to facilitate these values.
In 2018 a new constitution was adopted.
To better facilitate the continued growth of the Federation, it was decided that 7 core contitutents should have an equal say in the operations of the Federation. These are:
Grass root development
Family Island Development
Facilitation of Judo at the important ages of 18-25, for college bound athletes.
Athletes on the Olympic Path
Athletes on the ParaOlympic and Special Olympic Paths
To facilitate the lifelong practice for Blackbelts. This includes coaches, administrators and referees.
To increase the participation of women in the sport of Judo.
