Our Vision

At Bahamas Judo Federation Sports, our vision is to be the leading provider of sports equipment and apparel in the industry. We strive to offer the best products at affordable prices while also providing exceptional customer service.

Governance

Judo Values

Judo is more than just an olympic sport. Our Founder Jigaro Kano sought to use Judo as a sport to teach the values of Judo. The Governance structure of the sport of Judo seeks to facilitate these values.

A Constitution to support growth

In 2018 a new constitution was adopted.

7 Associations

To better facilitate the continued growth of the Federation, it was decided that 7 core contitutents should have an equal say in the operations of the Federation. These are:

Grass root development

Association of Family Island Clubs & In School Programs

Family Island Development

Association of Tertiary Education Institutions

Facilitation of Judo at the important ages of 18-25, for college bound athletes. 

National Team

Athletes on the Olympic Path

Association of Para Olympic and Special Olympic Clubs

Athletes on the ParaOlympic and Special Olympic Paths

Association of Qualified Blackbelts

To facilitate the lifelong practice for Blackbelts. This includes coaches, administrators and referees. 

Association of Qualified Female Blackbelts Blackbelts

To increase the participation of women in the sport of Judo.

Black Belt Standards Committee

Black belts live the values of Judo and have demonstrated the technical capacity to compete and pass on the art of Judo. Our sport in advances over many generations - the average time to get a black belt is 8 years under a qualified sensei.

Judo is a Martial art and as such is made up of a collection of Black Belts. The Average time to become a black belt is 8 years. Our Membership is interested in the various aspects of the sport of Judo.
